Lancope, Inc., the U.S.-based network visibility and security intelligence firm, is showcasing its StealthWatch technology at the GITEX Technology Week in Dubai through Thursday.

The StealthWatch System collects and analyzes network telemetry from existing routers, switches and firewalls to continuously monitor network and user behaviors. It then performs sophisticated analytics on network data to automatically detect abnormal behaviors that could signify attacks.

The Lancope exhibition at the GITEX convention comes as the company continues to grow its presence in the Middle East. Lancope recently opened a new regional office in Dubai where the company has expanded its team five-fold since 2013.

Lancope’s push in the region has shown results with sales growth from the Middle East doubling in the last three years.

“The Middle East is an important region for Lancope, with many sophisticated security teams that understand that prevention technologies alone are not enough to secure their environments,” Kerry Singleton, regional director of emerging markets for Lancope, said.

Singleton said the company was committed to continuing to invest in the region.

“These industry leaders are looking to Lancope to help them gain a greater understanding of what’s happening on their network, reduce the time that attacks are able to remain on a network, and improve their overall security posture,” Singleton said.

Singleton went on to say that Lancope is aiming to bring in new customers in major Middle Eastern industries such as the oil and gas sector, the financial sector, public service sector, and for governments.

The company is exhibiting its security technology alongside Cisco at Booth C1-11 in Hall 1 of the Dubai World Trade Centre.
