Malaysia asks Qatari representative to discuss minority group

Qatar’s foreign minister has been invited to Malaysia for an
upcoming meeting to discuss the condition of the Rohingya minority group.

The
handwritten message from Dato’ Sri Anifah Aman, Malaysia’s minister of foreign
affairs, was delivered to Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi, secretary general of
Qatar’s Foreign Ministry, at a meeting with Ahmad Jazri Mohd Johar, Malaysia’s
ambassador to Qatar.

In it, Aman asks Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani
to attend the Extraordinary Ministerial Meeting of the Organization of Islamic
Cooperation on Jan. 19.
