Mashreq Qatar, the Qatari division of the United Arab Emirates-based financial institution has been named the “Best Digital Bank in Qatar” by Global Financial Magazine for the seventh consecutive year.

Mashreq, one of the leading financial institutions in the MENA region, received the title in recognition of the bank’s efforts to provide a uniquely innovative and efficient online platform to its customers.

The bank has a long track record of introducing major advances in banking solutions to the region, going as far back as opening the Middle East’s first ATMs.

Some of the innovative offerings available at MashreqOnline include advance fixed deposits, which is a tailor-made savings product allowing customers to receive interest for the entire tenor paid to them on day one.

DreamSaver, is another product offered on the bank’s site, which is a savings account that enables customers to save regularly in order to achieve a pre-defined financial goal.

Niranjan Mendonca, Mashreq’s head of retail banking in Qatar, said the company strives to offer not only innovative banking products, but also highly efficient solutions.
