MCI Group will host the MENA Pharmaceutical Cold Chain Forum on June 2 and 3 in Dubai during which members of the logistics and pharmaceuticals industries will discuss solutions to the challenges in managing the cold chain in the region.

IMARC recently reported that the region’s health care cold chain logistics services market is expected expand from $7.3 billion to approximately $11.4 billion by the year 2018. The growth comes as government  authorities are demanding stricter conditions for transporting health care products using the cold chain.

To support the market’s growth, the International Air Transport Association has developed a Center of Excellence for Independent Validators in Pharmaceutical Logistics. This will allow the industry to have better transportation and handling of its products so that it can continue to meet the standards of manufacturers and shippers.

“As a leading health care conference organizer in the region, we feel proud that the MENA Pharmaceutical Cold Chain Forum enters into its second edition with bigger participation and more trust from the industry and stakeholders,” Ajay Bhojwani, MCI Middle East managing director, said. “We are delighted to have Dubai Customs, Saudi Pharmaceutical Society, and all other eminent speakers and panelists who will share their expertise and knowledge over two days.”

The event is supported by the Saudi Pharmaceutical Society, Dubai Customers, and Supply Chain & Logistics Group.
