Mercedez-Benz Oman has had a booming second quarter in 2015 with outstanding sales results, posting 13 percent growth year-on-year and an increase of 18 percent on the year-to-date.

Zawawi Trading Company, the authorized general distributor for Mercedes-Benz in Oman, has seen models performing well across the board.

The major stand-out performer in Q2 was the sleek S-Class Coupé, which managed an impressive 200 percent growth rate over last year. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is becoming iconic in Oman as it continued its upward trend with a 20 percent growth for the second quarter.

“This success is a testament to the strength of the Mercedes-Benz line-up, the rigorous implementation of our vision of best customer experience, and a market in pursuit of luxury, with an insatiable appetite for the unparalleled Mercedes-Benz lifestyle,” Clive Hammond, Zawawi Trading Company’s CEO, said.

The AMG Performance Car also had a strong quarter in Oman, registering more than 54 percent growth over the same period last year. The small “made for Oman” GLK crossover SUV’s sales grew more than 30 percent over last year’s.

Hammond said the third quarter is looking to be another strong period for Mercedes-Benz in Oman with the introduction of two new vehicles: a GLC crossover model and the GLE Coupé.
