Alchemist
Accelerator, recognized as one of the best training programs in Silicon Valley for
startups, has accepted a business idea created by CMU-Q alumni Sabih Bin Wasi,
Rukhsar Khan and Jiyda Moussahas.

The
app the trio developed is called Metis. The purpose of the app is to help
students select the best courses and degree based on their interests,
appreciations and personalities.

By the time the inventors graduated from
CMU-Q, Metis had made it to the alpha launch state. Post-graduation, the
innovative app has progressed through Qatar Science and Technology Park and the
AlFaisal – Carnegie Mellon Innovation Entrepreneurship Center.

“We
are so excited to join this program and be in Silicon Valley: it’s the next big
step in our pursuit of becoming a real startup,” Bin Wasi said.

The
Alchemist Accelerator program is unique in that it only accepts startups whose
revenue comes from enterprises, not customers. The accelerator concentrates on
growing the startup through a strategic fundraising plan, market validation,
sales and enterprise customer development.
