Movenpick Hotel Kuwait names new general manager

Movenpick Hotel Kuwait recently named Rushdi Ashkar, a Jordanian national with more than two decades of international experience in the hospitality industry, to be its new general manager.

Ashkar brings an abundance of knowledge about the hospitality sector, specifically in hotel management, as he has held numerous leadership positions in different chain hotels around the GCC, including a long stint as general manager for Movenpick Madinah.

“I’m thrilled to be in Kuwait with Movenpick Hotel Kuwait, which has an incredible reputation for achieving high levels of guest satisfaction,” Ashkar said. “I’m looking forward to continuing its evolution and success.’”

Ashkar
has worked for notable international hotel chains, including Marriott, Starwood, InterContinental and Movenpick.
