Mubadala recently announced a partnership with Solvay, finalized at
the recent Farnborough International Airshow, to create a joint venture that
will be the first manufacturer in the UAE of “prepeg” composite materials.

Prepeg materials are used
in the aerospace industry. The new venture will take up office in the center of
Abu Dhabi’s growing aerospace hub.

Mubadala believes the partnership strengthens its status as
an innovator in the aerospace manufacturing realm and develops its
manufacturing capabilities in Abu Dhabi — a move that will contribute to the
nation’s continued economic development.

Mubadala also noted that the venture will
create jobs for Emirati engineers, pairing them alongside existing talent at
the companies.
