Muscat is preparing to host the fifth annual HR Oman Summit on Feb. 15-17.

The summit, organized by the corporate events manager Fleming, will draw human resources professionals for three days of workshops, training sessions, regional case studies and talks aimed at digging deeper into what conference organizers say is an emerging and evolving industry. Event organizers said the conference will look to transform the role of human resources beyond its traditional capacities of managing personnel and payroll.

Saleh Abdullah Al Khamyasi said. “Rich in content, diverse in perspective and covered even emerging issues in Oman such as labor unions.”

Topics will include boardroom function, upskilling a workforce, workforce planning, workforce remodeling, diversity management, talent acquisition strategies, human resource challenge mapping and talent analytics.

Speakers will include Omani Society for Human Resources Management Board Member Abdulmajeed Al Balushi, as well as representatives from Electricity Holding – Oman, Oman Airports Management Company, Daleel Petroleum, HEC Paris, Takatuf Oman and Saudi Aramco.
