United Arab Emirates (UAE) automotive rental provider Najd Rent-a-Car is expanding its presence in Dubai through the addition of more luxury branded cars.

The company has invested AED 5 million to increase its fleet to 100 vehicles with the purchase of 15 new cars that include brands such as BMW 740, Audi, Mercedes, Range Rover and the Cadillac Escalade.

The expansion of Najd Rent-a-Car comes as the demand for luxury car rental services in Dubai has increased by 15 percent this year, as indicated in recent reports, due to Dubai evolving into a popular tourist destination.

“These are truly exciting times for Dubai’s tourism segment,” Omar Al Kasem, partner and VIP operations manager for Najd Rent-a-Car, said .

The city has
already been chosen as the host of World Expo 2020 in which millions of
individuals from around the world will gather to share innovations and
discover how to improve international issues such as sustainable
development.

“All of these positive indicators have driven in an accompanying demand for tourism services, car rentals in particular,” Al Kasem said. “Seeing this opportunity, we have implemented a strategic roadmap towards improving and expanding our operations in Dubai–highlighted by the purchase of the latest luxury cars. Rest assured that we will remain steadfast in providing our customers with world class vehicles and high quality services–aiming to further reinforce our leadership in the automotive rental segment.”

Najd Rent-a-Car started in 2001 and is considered to be the first company to offer world-class luxury branded cars for rent.
