The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) recently hosted a significant HR conference at its Head Office in Kuwait, aiming to enhance integration and alignment across its international branches. The event spanned three days from April 28 to 30 and gathered HR leaders from NBK’s branches and subsidiaries in 13 countries across four continents.
The conference provided a platform for sharing best practices, aligning future strategies, and strengthening cooperation among HR teams within the NBK Group. It began with welcoming remarks from NBK’s executive leadership, followed by presentations on the Group’s overall HR strategy. International HR heads also shared their local strategies and initiatives.
A notable part of the event was a workshop titled ‘Change Management’, part of NBK’s Career Leap project. This included advanced training on job design and evaluation, focusing on global HR best practices for attracting, retaining, and developing talent.
Participants engaged in a full-day ‘Strategic Change Leadership Workshop’ delivered by a leading global firm. The session addressed change leadership practices and provided tools for managing transformation in fast-evolving economic environments through global case studies.
The conference also explored ways to improve HR services and operations across the Group. Discussions focused on developing core competencies, grooming future leaders, promoting a unified culture, and leveraging innovative ideas from diverse markets.
In addition to strategic discussions, the conference honored the Head of HR at NBK Singapore upon her retirement after 41 years of service. This recognition highlighted the bank’s appreciation for employee commitment.
