Almost 100 restaurants and retail stores plan to open at The Pointe at Palm Jumeirah, a $218 million, 1.4 million-square-foot waterfront retail, dining and entertainment complex being developed in Dubai by Nakheel.

Restaurants at the Pointe will include Al Bawadi, Russo’s Italian Kitchen, Leopold’s of London, Baker & Spice, Red Lobster, Longhorn Steakhouse and Olive Garden.

The shops at the Pointe will include jewelers, apparel stores, opticians and beauty salons.

“The Pointe is set to bring Palm Jumeirah alive with spectacular fountain shows, a beautiful promenade and a huge variety of waterfront spots for dining, shopping and socializing,” Omar Khoory, director of Nakheel Retail, said. “This vibrant new destination will be a major draw – not only for the island’s residents and tourists, but for the wider Dubai, too.

The Pointe’s projected completion date is in 2016. Construction is currently 30 percent complete.

“Nearly two thirds of the available leasing space at The Pointe is already booked, and we’re signing new deals almost daily as more restaurants, cafes and shops seize this opportunity to be part of Palm Jumeirah’s ever-evolving success story,” Khoory added.
