Hilton Worldwide opened its first DoubleTree hotel Thursday in Old Town Doha, Qatar, amid the capital city’s booming business district.

The DoubleTree by Hilton — Old Town is one of Hilton’s mid-market full-service hotel brands. The DoubleTree is designed to offer stylish accommodation without breaking the bank. The new Doha DoubleTree by Hilton has 187 suites and rooms, each with large floor-to-ceiling windows that offer impressive views of the city.

The hotel also has facilities for meetings and events, such as a ballroom, boardroom and dining and lounge venues. It’s also equipped with a business center, a gym, sauna, steam room and a rooftop pool. The rooftop also features a luxurious sky lounge.

John Greenleaf, the global head of the DoubleTree by Hilton brand, said Doha represents an important emerging market for Hilton hotels.

“As one of the world’s key commercial capitals, Doha is a critical market for our growing footprint in the Middle East,” Greenleaf said. “In addition to welcoming global business travelers, DoubleTree by Hilton Doha – Old Town will provide the perfect place for leisure travelers to relax and have the best experiences this marvelous destination has to offer, whether they are visiting for a major sporting event or to see the iconic Museum of Islamic Art.”
