Oman Air and Garuda collaborate on codeshare agreement

Oman Air and Garuda Indonesia recently announced they have entered into a new codeshare agreement to provide customers with a wider variety of convenient travel choices.

This agreement allows customers with Oman Air to schedule flights under the operation of Garuda Indonesia, including a route between Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok, and another between Jakarta and Bali. In addition, customers with Garuda Indonesia will now be able to schedule flights that are under the operation of Oman Air. These flights include a route between Jakarta and Salalah and another between Muscat and Bangkok with a stop in Kuala Lumpur.

“Oman Air is delighted to be partnering with Garuda Indonesia to offer customers of both airlines even greater choice and convenience,” Abdulrahaman Al-Busaidy, chief operating officer of Oman Air, said. “Garuda Indonesia shares Oman Air’s commitment to offering the highest quality of service and hospitality aboard outstanding aircraft. Since the launch at the end of last year of Oman Air’s new service from Muscat to Jakarta, we have been delighted with our customers’ response and the new codeshare will enable them to travel further afield without booking with multiple airlines.”

Al-Busaidy and Garuda Indonesia Commercial Director Handayani look forward to offering Garuda Indonesia’s customers the best of authentic Omani hospitality.

“This partnership will extend our network worldwide — especially to Oman — and represents our commitment to “bring the world to Indonesia” by providing a seamless yet convenient connections between Oman and Indonesia,” Handayani said. “At the same time, the agreement is expected to boost trade and tourism activities by making Indonesia much more accessible for Oman visitor. Moreover, through this partnership, we also offer greater choices and wider access flexibility for Oman visitor to several destinations served by Garuda Indonesia such as Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok which will be served with the award-winning service ‘Garuda Indonesia Experience’.”
