The launch of Oman Air flights between Muscat and Najaf, Iraq, which had been scheduled to begin Sept. 15, has been canceled as a
safety measure for travelers, as well as the airline pilots and staff.

The temporarily
halt of flights between the two cities will affect flights scheduled through Oct. 1. Oman Air will let travelers know when a decision has been made regarding when flights will begin.

Oman Air said it apologizes
for the inconvenience to travelers but wants to take all necessary
precautions to ensure customers and staff were safe. Refunds and exchanges will
be offered for all tickets at the point of purchase.
