Oman Air honored at World Travel Awards 2015

Oman Air has been internationally recognized at the World Travel Awards 2015 in El Jadida, Morocco.

For the second consecutive year, the airline carrier won the World’s Leading Airline Economy Class title. In addition, the airline’s lounge at Muscat International Airport was named World’s Leading Airport Lounge Business Class 2015.

The awards were presented at the Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort during a spectacular red carpet ceremony on Dec. 12.

“We are honored and delighted to accept these very prestigious awards,” Oman Air CEO Paul Gregorowitsch said. “As Oman Air continues its program of fleet and network expansion, we look forward to welcoming many more customers to experience our legendary Omani hospitality and award-winning service. In the meantime, I would like to thank the World Travel Awards and all those who voted for Oman Air for this wonderful recognition.”

The national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman’s fleet is currently comprised of 40 aircraft, including 18 Boeing 737-800s, six Airbus A330-300s, five Boeing 737-900s, four Airbus A330-200s, four Embraer E175s, two B787 Dreamliners and one Boeing 737-700.

Oman Air’s business class lounge at Muscat International Airport offers modern dining facilities, quiet rooms for relaxation, men’s and women’s prayer rooms, shower rooms, a business office and a complimentary massage spa.
