Oman Air is launching a Facebook competition with flights as prizes in honor of Oman National Day on Nov. 18.

Oman Air is welcoming photo submissions via its Facebook page at www.facebook.com/omanair. Photos should demonstrate the “My Oman National Day” theme with celebrations, decorations, the national flag or similar subject matter.

Winners will be selected based on how well the photo fits the theme, as well as the creativity of the image and its inspirational quality.

First prize is two return tickets from Muscat to any European destination on the Oman Air network. Second place wins a return ticket from Muscat to any of Oman Air’s 11 destinations in India, while third prize wins one return ticket from Muscat to any of Oman Air’s 11 destinations in the GCC.

“On our social media, we want people to visit our Facebook page and share with us their national pride,” Mohammed Al Shikely, vice president of marketing for Oman Air, said. “We want people to capture any of the many vibrant moments across the sultanate and express what Oman’s National Day means to them. As the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, we are delighted to be joining the country’s citizens in celebrating National Day and we are very much looking forward to seeing all of the photography.”

The contest runs until the end of November. Winners will be announced on or around Dec. 4. There are no age restrictions for the contest.
