Oman Air recently gave 46 economy class passengers free upgrades to business class as part of a special promotion offered in celebration of the country’s 46th National Day.

Thirty-eight passengers traveling from Muscat and eight traveling from Salalah were given the opportunity to experience the spacious and luxurious Oman Air Business Class, featuring a lie-flat seat with an electrically controlled backrest, seat depth and leg rest.

The passengers also had access to the Oman Air Business Class lounge at Muscat International Airport. The lounge includes a quiet area to relax, fully stocked bar, snack and full dining options, satellite TV entertainment systems, shower rooms, spa, prayer rooms and business center.

“As the national carrier, we are incredibly proud of the Omani heritage and all it represents,” Oman Air CEO Paul Gregorowitsch said. “We are delighted to be able to offer passengers an extra thank you for traveling with us, in recognition of Oman National Day and the birthday of our esteemed leader, the sultan of Oman, Qaboos bin Said al Said. We hope that passengers will enjoy experiencing our award winning business class service and lounges, which outshine many other airlines’ first class product.”
