Oman Air was recently honored with four awards at the inaugural Oman Tech Awards ceremony, recognizing online excellence.

The ceremony is the first technology event of its kind in the Sultanate of Oman.

Oman Air earned gold awards for its website in the e-commerce subcategory, its apps in the travel and tourism subcategory, and its social media efforts in the government subcategory. Additionally, the airline company earned the Best Social Media Campaign of the Year in the special awards category for its National Day campaign launched last November.

“The four awards that Oman Air has received at the Oman Tech Awards demonstrate that we are not just responding to technological change: we are helping to lead the way,” Oman Air Marketing Vice President Mohammed Al Shikely said. “We are thrilled to receive these prestigious accolades, especially in the face of such strong competition. Oman Air pursues a vibrant and engaging digital communications strategy, and it is extremely satisfying to receive acknowledgement from such a respected body as the Oman Tech Awards.”

In response to customers increasingly using technology for travel needs, Oman Air has taken various steps to provide effective digital services. The company has made its website available in both Arabic and English, created apps that allow users to book flights and currently manages numerous social media platforms to keep customers up to date on happenings related to Oman Air.
