Funtazmo, Oman’s largest indoor family entertainment center (FEC), will open May 5 at Oman Avenues Mall in Bausher.

The first-of-its-kind center will house more than 250 rides and games, 5-D cinema and a party hall, all on a massive scale. Until now, Oman has not had a one-stop entertainment destination suitable for all age groups.

The center will also have the first roller coaster in Oman. The coaster will be operational by the middle of the year.

Funtazmo features Funtazmo Kids on the first floor, which caters to children up to age 3. The second floor is for all ages. The full site can be viewed from two galleries, including a third-floor viewing position for a bird’s-eye view of the action.

Abu Taleb Investments LLC is the local partner behind the center’s financing. The center is managed by Amad Aldin Razzaq Ahmed Talib, chairman of the group.

“We are very happy to announce the launch of Funtazmo,” Talib said. “Oman was missing a family entertainment center that caters to both the young and the young at heart, which is why we conceptualized the place keeping the entire family in mind.”

“But an entertainment center this large needed a venue that can match up to the scale, and as the largest mall in the country, we are glad to have found the right partner in Oman Avenues Mall,”

Talib said. “Other than its diverse shopping offerings, convenient access and parking, the mall also has the largest food court with food and beverages to match all taste buds – a factor that is very critical for any FEC to attract and retain the crowd.”
