Oman’s National Business Centre is set to kick off a series of entrepreneurship events

from Nov. 15 to Nov. 19 as part of the Gulf nation’s recognition of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW).

National Business Centre (NBC) is hosting the events with the goal of providing a platform for successful and experienced entrepreneurs to help shape the next generation of Omani innovators.

GEW Oman will focus on how the nation’s business leaders can grow small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through innovative and entrepreneurial initiatives.

The event begins Sunday with a keynote by Khalifa bin Said Al Abri, CEO of the Public Authority for SMEs Development. Participants will learn what makes a good entrepreneurial environment from successful business innovators. They will also have the opportunity to meet and network with delegates from various industrial sectors.

Mulkie Al Hashmi, director of Marketing at NBC, said Oman’s GEW events are part of the world’s largest programs to encourage entrepreneurial thinking – an undertaking NBC is proud to spearhead.

“This event takes place in more than 140 countries worldwide and we at the National Business Centre are privileged to host this initiative for the third consecutive year in coordination with various supporting local institutions,” Al Hashmi said.
