The Oman Racing Team recently announced a new commercial partnership with Omantel specifically geared toward the countdown to racing champion Ahmad Al Harthy’s 2016 racing season.

The announcement recognizes one of two of the new partners backing the Aston Martin Middle East and North Africa Ambassador this year.

The 34-year-old racer delved into the details of his motorsport program at a press conference in Muskat during which Al Harthy recognized Omantel as a key supporter of the racing team.

“It is such an honor to be partnering with Omantel,” Al Harthy said. “I am absolutely delighted to welcome them to the Oman Racing Team. We have been working incredibly hard behind the scenes, as we always do, during the off-season to establish the best possible package for our 2016 campaign.”

Omantel has been credited as being one of the telecommunications companies that helped make Oman one of the most connected nations in the MENA region. Considered among the top three regional wholesale operators, Omantel has filled a key role over the past 40 years in the sultanate’s economic development.

“The support of Omantel is a fantastic development for me personally,” Al Harthy said. “It’s the sultanate’s most valuable brand and the leading national telecommunications company who played a key part of the growth of our country for almost five decades now. I am very happy indeed to be associated with such a prestigious company.”

Omantel is focused on exceeding expectations when it comes to communication needs. The company concentrated on the highest level of quality service and professionalism to meet each customer’s needs. Partnering with the Oman Racing Team is part of Omantel’s strategic plan to expand its brand reach internationally.

“We are pleased to welcome back our national champion Ahmad Al Harthy to the Omantel family,” Hamdan Moosa Al Harasi, Omantel’s acting vice president corporate strategy, said. “Omantel and Ahmad have both passion for leading performance, excellence, and we believe that this new partnership will bear fruits for both parties. This sponsorship is an extension to Omantel efforts to support Omani talents in various fields and affirms the company’s leadership in supporting youth and sports in the Sultanate.”
