Customers of Qatar-based telecom solutions provider Ooredoo have a new choice for accessing the company’s services with the installation of self-service machines throughout the country.

Ooredoo has partnered with retail telecom services company SEDCO and Almana Computer Services to make the self-service machines (SSMs) available in several locations for Ooredoo customers. With this development, many services that could only be obtained at Ooredoo shops with the assistance of Ooredoo staff can now be performed remotely.

“The latest update to Ooredoo’s network of self-service machines aims to facilitate service delivery to customers beyond the working hours and to transform the whole customer experience,” SEDCO CEO Majdi Al Beit Shawish said. “The solution reduces costs, eliminates the crowds of visitors in Ooredoo shops and allows customers to obtain some services completely by themselves.”

One of the main services available through the new SSMs is purchase and registration of pre-loaded Hala SIM cards.

“These new and innovative self-service machines are designed to improve our customer experience and satisfaction, as they are available 24-seven,” Yousuf Al Kubaisi, Ooredoo Qatar’s chief operating officer, said. “With features such as passport scanning and e-signature, we are making sure Ooredoo stays ahead of the competition and ensuring our services are as accessible and easy to use as possible.”
