Ooredoo, headquartered in Qatar, has successfully completed its prelaunch phase for 4G mobile service in Algeria, becoming the first operator in the country to provide 4G. Ooredoo now offers 4G services in eight markets in the Middle East, North Africa and Southeast Asia. This new network investment results in a better data experience for customers.

Qatar-based Ooredoo said its senior unsecured Reg S/Rule 144A notes, with a pricing of $500 million, have been closed successfully. The notes were issued under the $5 billion Global Medium Term Note Program. Any revenue from the sale of the notes will go toward Ooredoo’s general corporate expenses and refinancing the company’s current debts.
