The Qatar Tourism Authority estimates that the Qatar tourism industry will reach $7.2 billion by 2025, based on the country seeing 3 million visitors in 2015 and expecting 4 million by 2020. The growing industry is expected to increase tourism's GDP contribution in the next 10 years. Experts also expect significant investments for hotel pipeline, rail network and leisure facilities.

In a push to promote Qatar as a tourist destination, the Qatar Tourism Authority recently launched the Qatar Destination Brand at the World Travel Market in London. The brand features photo and video elements as well as distinctive print advertising components to attract locals, youth, residents, artists and tourists. Issa bin Mohammed Al Mohannadi remarked on the brand.

HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al Thani recently opened a “Made in Qatar 2015” display at the Doha Exhibition Center. While at the inauguration ceremony, the prime minister took a tour of the exhibition pavilions and the booths.
