The board of directors for Saudi Aramco and Dow Chemical Co. visited the Sadara Chemical Company complex to view the progress of the mega project in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province. The chemicals and plastics complex, based in Jubail, is 98 percent finished. The joint venture was first approved four years ago, and experts estimate that it will be fully operational by 2017.

Fluor received a Hydrocarbon Processing award on June 3 at the sixth annual International Refining and Petrochemicals Conference (IRPC), which took place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, given for assisting with a recently completed chemical project.
