Organizers of the retail and cultural exhibition Shop Bahrain announced Wednesday that the 30-day event generated nearly $30 million in sales. The event ran from Dec. 24 to Jan. 23 and offered a variety of shopping promotions, cultural activities, and entertainment experiences at several locations throughout Bahrain. More than 60,000 people attended some part of the event.

Shop Bahrain held its third raffle Friday at Bahrain Mall. The raffle is part of a 30-day celebration of Bahrani culture, hospitality and tourism that hopes to promote Bahrain as a family-friendly destination for local and international visitors by showcasing shopping deals and entertainment.

There is still time to participate in Shop Bahrain, and Al Osra Supermarket, a gold retail outlet of the initiative, is one place shoppers can get special bargains and earn points to win prizes. Shop Bahrain, the largest shopping initiative in the country will conclude on Jan. 23. Shoppers who purchase items at Al Osra will get three Shop Bahrain points for each dollar they spend.

Retailers have until Sunday to register for Shop Bahrain, a 30-day festival focused on Bahrain's heritage as well as its hospitality and tourism sectors running Dec. 24 through Jan. 23. Festival activities will include VIVA Shop & Skate, a skating rink at the Al A’ali Shopping Complex; a Family Fair carnival at Prince Khalifa bin Salman Park; and a Taste Tour in Adliya.
