The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has teamed up with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the American Business Council of Dubai and the Northern Emirates and Dubai Internet City to launch the U.S.–Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Cyber Working Group. The working group aims to facilitate ongoing constructive dialogue between the public and private sectors within the Gulf countries.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce partnered with Committee for International Trade at the Council of Saudi Chambers to organize a gathering of CEOs from the two countries in Riyadh in hopes of improving bilateral trade relations. Summit organizers hoped the meeting would be a boon to business in both countries and help support Saudi Arabia's efforts to grow its economy beyond oil.
