Qatar Airways Cargo recently received the International Award for Excellence in Air Cargo at the Air Cargo India 2016 exhibition and conference hosted by STAT Times.

Readers of STAT Times, a monthly publication covering transport and tourism news, gave Qatar Airways Cargo high accolades in the International Air Cargo Airline of the Year category.

Qatar Airways Cargo recently introduced innovations that include a comprehensive automation system that allows shippers and forwarders real-time status updates about their cargo.

“We appreciate the recognition for serving our cargo customers so well,” Qatar Airways Chief Officer of Cargo Ulrich Oglermann said. “Qatar Airways Cargo is emerging as a leader in the air cargo world, expanding its network and offering new products and services our customers want and need. We are investing in the infrastructure at Hamad International Airport to support further growth, including a new cargo terminal that will be able to handle 4.4 million tonnes of cargo per year, and we look forward to expanding our influence in global airfreight.”
