During a recent press briefing in Casablanca, Morocco, Qatar Airways
Group CEO Akbar Al Baker commented on the airline’s joint business agreement
with Royal Air Maroc and its expansion into Marrakesh earlier this year.

The
media briefing followed a VIP gala dinner at the Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca, which was hosted by Al Baker and attended by global aviation leaders.

“I am very pleased with the
performance of our joint business agreement with Royal Air Maroc,” he said. “Since launching last year, we
have seen consistently strong demand on services to and from Morocco.”

According to Al Baker, the company’s
increased flights between Doha and Casablanca and Marrakesh help meet
demand and provide passengers with plenty of options.

“Thanks to this successful
affiliation, Qatar Airways’ passengers can take advantage of
Royal Air Maroc’s comprehensive network in West
Africa, while Royal Air Maroc passengers can enjoy our global network spanning
the Middle East, Asia and Australia.”

Al Baker also mentioned Qatar Airways’
new destinations planned for launch in 2017-18, including Canberra, Australia;
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Santiago, Chile; Las Vegas, U.S.; Dublin,
Ireland; Medan – Kualanamu International Airport, Indonesia; and Tabuk and Yanbu, Saudi Arabia.
