Qatar Airways is adding two routes to its Saudi Arabian
service, bringing its total to 10 by this summer, the airline announced recently.
Direct flights are scheduled to run three times a week between Doha and Yanbu
starting on May 9, and between Doha and Tabuk beginning on June 19. The routes
will be serviced by an A320 aircraft.
“Both Yanbu and Tabuk as our ninth and 10th new destinations in the
kingdom will bring additional flight options for passengers connecting from
Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas,” Akbar Al Baker, chief
executive of Qatar Airways Group, said.
“Passengers from Yanbu and Tabuk will now be able to travel seamlessly
through our state-of-the-art Doha hub, Hamad International Airport, to popular
cities in our expanding network, such as Auckland, Boston and Skopje.
Al Baker said fliers coming from other international markets will now have the option of additional getaways in Saudi Arabia.
Qatar Airways currently offers 158 flights to Saudi Arabia every week.
