Qatar Airways made history last week as the first airline to ever display five aircraft at the Paris Air Show, which capped off a remarkable week of milestones and awards for the airline.

Qatar Airways had a week-long static display of its new Boeing 787 Dreamliner along with four of its Airbus models, the A380, A350, A320 and A319.

The company received high honors in the Skytrax Awards, as it was named Airline of the Year for the second year running — and the third time overall. Qatar Airways also topped the categories for Best Airline in the Middle East and Best Business Class Seat.

The show wasn’t all about awards for Qatar Airways, though. The company started the show with the announcement of a $4.8 billion deal to purchase 10 new Boeing 777-8X passenger jets and another four 777 freighters.

Company leaders took the opportunity to network and expose various visiting dignitaries to the flight amenities offered on Qatar Airways flights.

French President François Hollande topped the list of high-ranking officials given tours by Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker. Other dignitaries to view the fleet were European Commissioner for Transport Violeta Bulc and French Prime Minister Manuel Valls.
