Qatar Airways recently participated in the Incredible India
Tourism Investors’ Summit (IITIS), showcasing its
commitment to the tourism market in the country.

Akbar Al Baker, CEO of Qatar Airways
Group, participated in a CEO panel at the conference, which focused on
discussing ways to enable the tourism market and overcome any obstacles to
growth. A keynote address for the panel was given by Vinod Zutshi, secretary of the Ministry of Tourism, and Ramesh Abhishek, secretary of the Department
of Industrial Policy and Promotion – Government of India.

“India is one of the world’s
fastest growing economies, having tremendous business opportunities and huge
potential, making it a significant market for Qatar Airways,” Al Baker said. “The
country continues to show strong economic growth and an increasing demand for
air travel to and from all corners of the globe. The aviation industry
contributes significantly to India’s prosperous tourism sector and more liberal
air service access is required for the tourism industry to develop even
further.”

Al Baker noted his company’s commitment to
award-winning service and how that commitment will help it operate seamlessly in India’s
markets.

“We currently operate from 13 of
India’s cities with more than 100 weekly flights, and offer a
premium travel experience with our warm hospitality, world-class service,
exclusively tailored to meet travelers’ needs,”
he said.
