During a recent meeting held at the Qatar Chamber
headquarters, Algeria’s Minister of Industry and Mines Abdeslam Bouchouareb
urged Qatari businessmen to make investments in his country in sectors that
include industry, mining, medicines, tourism and services.

The meeting was attended by Qatar Chamber Vice
Chairman Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Tawar and HE Ambassador of Algeria to Qatar
Abdulaziz Saba.

The group focused their discussion on ways to expand
economic and trade cooperation between the two countries. They also agreed to
coordinate a forum bringing together businessmen from both nations, to be held
along side the Qatar-Algeria Joint Higher Committee meeting scheduled for the
end of the year. The two countries will look to activate the Qatari-Algerian
Joint Business Council.

Bouchouareb praised the Qatar Chamber for bringing the group
together to advance cooperation in the private sectors of each country. The Qatar
Chamber Vice Chairman talked about the evolving relations between the
countries, noting that all conditions are in place to enhance joint business
