Qatar Chamber Vice President Mohamed bin Tawar
recently announced that the Qatar Chamber can become a platform for Qatari and
Georgian businesses to come together and discuss activating partnerships to
benefit the economies of both countries.

Tawar made this announcement during a
meeting with a Georgian delegation led by Nino Berzuli, deputy minister of
Labor, Health and Social Affairs.

During the meeting, the involved parties reviewed investment
opportunities in Georgia, specifically in the health sector. The meeting
encouraged Qatari businessmen to create joint ventures with their counterparts
in Georgia.

According to Tawar, economic diversity is a major pillar of
Qatar National Vision 2030. He noted that Qatar is keen to grow cooperation
with Georgia. Additionally, he stated that trade volume between the two regions reached $107
million in 2015. Tawar believes this number can continue to grow.

Present at the meeting were Rashid al Athba, Qatar
Chamber board member, and Ekaterine Meiering-Mikadze, Georgian ambassador to
Qatar.

The Qatar Chamber and Georgian Chamber signed a memorandum
of understanding earlier this year.
