Qatar has condemned the
car bombing of a crowded market in Mogadishu, Somalia, that killed
dozens of people on February 19, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs
announced recently.

The ministry described the attack, which
also wounded at least 50 others, as a criminal act of aggression against
innocent civilians. It said the bombing “contradicts all human values
and principles.”

Qatar expressed support for the victims’
families as well as the people and government of Somalia. The ministry
said Qatar supports all efforts to maintain stability and security in
the region.
