Qatar Insurance Group (QIC), the largest insurance company
in the Middle East, said a group of its senior officials recently
visited the elderly at Ihsan – Centre of Empowerment and Care Elderly and Al
Rumailah Hospital.
“Ramadan is the time for doing good deeds,” Ali Al Fadala, senior deputy group president and CEO of QIC Group, said. “To mark this season
of generosity and as a significant step toward fulfilling our corporate social responsibilities (CSR), we were delighted to organize a visit to the elderly to
acknowledge them for their unique contribution to the society at large.”
Al Fadala said QIC takes pride in
supporting Qatari traditions. Ramadan is a special month of the year and Fadala
believes it to be important to celebrate the spreading of joy during this time.
“We would like to thank QIC for this kind gesture and for
spending a few precious moments with the elderly,” Mohamed Al Nasf of Ishan said. “It
was indeed very heartwarming for them to receive such thoughtful gifts during
the holy month of Ramadan.”
During the event, QIC delivered LED lamps with built-in
Quran speakers to allow the elderly to listen to verses of
the Quran.
