Qatar participates in European External Action Service’s working group

Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs recently participated in the working group of the European Union’s European External
Action Service (EEAS) on the Middle East and Gulf at the European Commission’s headquarters in Brussels.

 

The meeting was attended by members of EEAS and representatives of EU organizations, and it focused on arrangements for a visit of the working group to Qatar later this
month.

 
Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Khulaifi, Qatar’s ambassador to Belgium and the European
Union, attended the meeting. During the meeting, he spoke
to those in attendance about Qatar’s hopes for boosting cooperation with EU
member states as well as significant challenges currently faced by countries in
the Gulf region and the Middle East.

Al Khulaifi noted the progress his nation
has made in promoting economic, scientific and social aspects as part of its
efforts to achieve Qatar National Vision 2030.
