The Qatar University College of
Education (CED) recently hosted a welcoming orientation for new master’s degree students to get them acquainted
with their respective programs as well as other services, resources and
facilities the students will have access to during their years of academia.

This event was held on Sept. 18.

CED graduate programs — Master of Education in Educational Leadership, Master of Education in Special
Education, and Master of Arts in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment — were
filled with students from Canada, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Liberia, Nepal,
Palestine, Qatar, Sudan, Syria, U.K., U.S. and Yemen.
Nearly one-third of the new students are Qatari, which is the highest
percentage ever admitted into the programs.

New students were
welcomed by CED Dean Dr. Ahmed Al Emadi, who wished them well during the school
year.

“By choosing advanced studies
in education, you will contribute to fulfilling the college’s mission to
shaping the future of Qatar through excellence in teaching, scholarship and
leadership,” he said.
