QatarEnergy confirms missile attacks on Ras Laffan Industrial City

QatarEnergy announced on Mar. 18 that Ras Laffan Industrial City was targeted by missile attacks in the evening.

The company said emergency response teams were sent to the site immediately to address fires caused by the incident, which resulted in extensive damage. QatarEnergy reported that all personnel have been accounted for and there have been no casualties at this time.

“QatarEnergy confirms that Ras Laffan Industrial City this evening has been the subject of missile attacks,” the company said. “Emergency response teams were deployed immediately to contain the resulting fires, as extensive damage has been caused. All personnel have been accounted for and no casualties have been reported at this time.”

The company stated it will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.

The broader implications of these attacks remain unclear, but QatarEnergy’s prompt response and communication aim to ensure safety and transparency as the situation develops.
