QatarEnergy has finalized a long-term agreement to supply Idemitsu Kosan Co. Ltd with up to six million tons of naphtha over the next decade. The deliveries are set to begin in July 2024, marking a significant extension of their existing partnership.

His Excellency Mr. Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs and President and CEO of QatarEnergy, expressed satisfaction with the deal. “We are delighted to further strengthen almost 50-years of partnership with Idemitsu, the leading Japanese refining and petrochemicals company, with this landmark agreement, which will bring further benefits to both sides,” he stated. He also acknowledged the efforts of the teams involved from both companies.

Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd., established in 1911, stands as one of Japan’s major energy and resource firms. With operations spanning 64 offices across 20 countries and regions globally, Idemitsu is instrumental in producing essential energy resources and materials for various industries.
