Qatar Foreign Minister Mohammed Al-Thani recently held a telephone meeting with Chairman of the High Committee
of the Syrian Negotiations Dr. Riyad Hijab.

The two leaders discussed the situation in Syria during the
telephone call — most significantly, the worsening humanitarian situation in the
city of Aleppo.

Al-Thani spoke of Qatar’s solidarity with the
people of Aleppo and how Qatar will continue to help alleviate their suffering,
pushing for a ceasefire and ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid.

Hijab, for his part, thanked the state of Qatar for its
stance and continued efforts in support of the Syrian people.
