Qatar’s minister of Municipality and Environment got a close-up look recently at ongoing work being undertaken by the country’s public works authority, Ashghal.

Mohamed bin
Abdullah Al-Rumaihi visited the Dukhan Highway East and Roads and Infrastructure Development
projects in Bani Hajer North. He was shown current progress as well as milestones to expect in the near future.

Al-Rumaihi was accompanied by Abdullah Hamad Al Attiyah, assistant president of Ashgal, and Mohammed Masoud Al Marri, Ashghal’s acting director of Infrastructure Affairs.

The Dukhan
Highway East project runs from the Al-Wajbah Palace
Interchange to the Tilted Interchange. It follows Al-Gharrafa Road from
Al-Rayyan Street in the south to Thani bin Jassim Street in the north.

The Infrastructure
Development project in Bani Hajer North will deliver facilities to about 557
residential land plots and provide a road system and a sewage and draining
system.

Ashghal was created in 2004. It is responsible
for the planning, design, procurement, construction, delivery, and asset
management of infrastructure projects and public buildings in Qatar.
