Resolution amends Dubai organizational structure

Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum issued a resolution amending the organizational structure of Dubai Municipality on Wednesday.

Resolution 44 allows the municipality to efficiently implement its strategic plans and carry out its responsibilities to fulfill its goals and achieve customer service excellence at all levels, enabling it to contribute to the sustained, comprehensive development process in the emirate of Dubai.

Under Resolution 44, the names of several organizational units within Dubai Municipality are being amended in accordance with their assigned areas of responsibility, such as the Communication and Community Sector, Strategic Management and Organizational Excellence, Customer Relationship Management and Partnerships, Knowledge Management and Innovation and Architectural Heritage and Monuments.

In addition, other changes include the creation of new organizational units such as the General Revenues Department, Recreation Department, Food Department and the Department of Sustainable and Renewable Energy Application.

The new resolution annuls Executive Council Resolution 27. It is considered valid from the date of issuance and is to be published in the Official Gazette.
