Bahrain-based restaurant reservations app eat recently marked a milestone by seating its 600,000th diner.

Smartphone penetration for part of the Gulf Region is at 89 percent, and many of the app’s users are from within the region. Additionally, restaurants continue to be a focal point of the Gulf Region’s social scene.

Users can benefit from eat’s restaurant discovery and real-time reservations apps. The cloud-based app was launched in 2014 and has quickly become a market leader in Bahrain. The current offerings from eat use cutting-edge technology and a variety of analytical tools and optimization features such as the capability to have multiple connections synced in real-time and extensive guest data capture.

In 2015 eat added its restaurant discovery and real-time reservation app, allowing diners to make instant table bookings in three clicks directly from their smartphones. The app was recently launched in the United Arab Emirates, where more than 100 restaurants signed on to participate within the first two months of its introduction.
