RMG Networks will continue providing digital signage for Etisalat retail stores through the first part of this year, the company announced Monday.

Etisalat is a multinational telecommunications company with 11.6 million customers in the UAE.

In July, RMG Networks and Etisalat agreed to terms on a deal for signage at 50 stores to support Etisalat’s new “Life: Connected” store concept. Forty of those installations have been completed.

“Digital signage is a revolutionary way to engage customers looking for an innovative and exciting experience,” Etisalat Vice President for Retail Suhail Al Awadi said. “Our new smart stores in the UAE embody Etisalat’s customer experience strategy, using technology to make our customer’s visit to the store effortless, informative and highly interactive. After the successful completion of the phase one of the project, we are pleased to continue working with RMG to help bring this concept to reality through their creative digital executions across a majority of our stores over the next year.”

Each installation includes a video wall, LED displays and interactive screens that let customers learn about different Etisalat products.

RMG officials suggested that another contract for installations at an additional 50 stores could be in the works for later this year, but no further details were given.
