Russian firms set to showcase green tech at WETEX 2025 under ‘Made in Russia’ initiative

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) will host the 27th Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) from September 30 to October 2, 2025, at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The event is being organized under the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the patronage of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum.

The Russian pavilion at WETEX 2025 will feature 30 companies under the ‘Made in Russia’ national brand. These companies specialize in clean and renewable energy, water treatment and purification, recycling technologies, artificial intelligence applications for human resource management, and advanced solutions for sustainable agriculture.

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA and Founder and Chairman of WETEX, said: “We are pleased to welcome the broad participation of Russian companies under the national brand, ‘Made in Russia’, at WETEX, reflecting the strong partnership between the UAE and Russia and the shared commitment of both nations to forging new avenues of co-operation in the emerging economy and vital sectors. Our aim is to accelerate the adoption of clean and renewable energy, bolster food security and strengthen collaboration to address urgent challenges. Through these efforts, we seek to enhance climate change adaptation, promote sustainable growth and achieve our mutual economic, environmental and investment objectives.”

Najibullo Jabbori, Chief Representative of the Russian Export Center (REC) in the UAE added: “Russian companies are bringing their best innovations in energy, ecology and water management to Dubai. The ‘Made in Russia’ exposition reflects our contribution to the global transition towards a sustainable future and opens new opportunities for international co-operation. We are confident that our solutions in sustainable development and green technologies will find strong demand here.”

Non-oil trade between the UAE and Russia increased by 4.9% annually to reach USD 11.5 billion in 2024. In addition, there was a significant year-on-year rise of 76.3% during the first quarter of 2025.

The ‘Made in Russia’ exposition will present a variety of products including wind energy systems; renewable energy technology; intelligent power minimisation tools; smart switchgears; automation solutions for industry; electrical cables; precision instruments for testing meters; digital substation equipment; generator technologies; engineering services for infrastructure; water supply systems; membrane-based reverse-osmosis solutions; filtration technology for water purification; AI-powered vending machines for recycling; controlled environment agriculture technology; transport monitoring systems using GPS/Glonass; external wall insulation adaptable to various buildings; fuel supply solutions for maritime industries; as well as AI-powered HR management applications.

The Russian Export Center (REC), part of VEB.RF Group, supports non-commodity exports by providing financial assistance as well as other support services internationally. REC’s program promotes Russian products globally through its ‘Made in Russia’ brand campaign that emphasizes sustainability, reliability, technological innovation, and aims to boost recognition of Russian quality standards worldwide.
