SABIC recognized for innovation at Edison Awards for sixth year in a row

SABIC announced on Apr. 17 that it has been honored at the Edison Awards for the sixth consecutive year, receiving recognition for five of its innovative solutions across three categories.

The continued success at the Edison Awards highlights SABIC’s ongoing commitment to developing new technologies and products within the chemical industry.

At the awards ceremony held on April 16 in Fort Myers, Florida, SABIC received one gold, two silver, and two bronze awards in Material Science, Energy & Climate Resiliency, and Clean Water, Food & Agriculture categories. The event brought together innovation leaders, business executives, designers, and academics.

By prioritizing market-focused, groundbreaking solutions, we ensure that innovation remains our primary engine for growth. This milestone reinforces our path toward becoming the preferred world leader in chemicals.”

In Material Science, SABIC was recognized for NORYL V0150TW / V0150IR2 resin developed for solar energy applications; ULTEM SU3102P reactive oligomer thermoplastic toughening solution used in aerospace composites; and LNP ELCRES NP copolymers designed to address concerns over PFAS (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances). In Energy & Climate Resiliency, SABIC won an award for its HybSi membrane process that reduces energy consumption by up to 70% compared to traditional distillation methods. In Clean Water, Food & Agriculture category, SABIC Agri-Nutrients was honored for creating bio-organometallic granules that enhance soil health and nutrient uptake through a sustainable mineral fertilizer.

The Edison Awards have been recognizing achievements in product development and business leadership since 1987.
