The Assistant Deputy Minister for Multilateral Affairs at the Saudi Ministry of Finance, Mr. Naif Bin Mohammed Alenzi, led Saudi Arabia’s delegation to the 73rd Meeting of the Committee of Deputies of the GCC Ministries of Finance. The meeting took place on May 7, 2025, in Kuwait.
Participants at this Deputies Committee meeting aimed to prepare for the upcoming 123rd Ministerial Meeting of the GCC Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee. They also discussed outcomes from several key meetings, including the 84th Meeting of the GCC Central Bank Governors’ Committee and discussions related to the Customs Union Authority. Other topics covered included meetings by the Committee of Heads and Directors of Tax Administrations in the GCC and deliberations by the Gulf Common Market Committee.
The session concluded with a series of recommendations directed at the GCC Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee. These recommendations will be further examined during their forthcoming 123rd Ministerial Meeting.
