The Saudi Ministry of Finance has announced that all government agencies are now required to offer and sell government movables through the Ettimad electronic auction service on the Ettimad platform. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts by the Ministry to improve transparency and increase the efficiency of managing government assets.

According to the Ministry, this new measure is a component of its broader digital transformation strategy in government financial services. The Ettimad auction system enables agencies to conduct sales entirely online, from entering data and pricing items, to advertising, receiving bids, awarding winners, and issuing invoices electronically.

The Ministry stated that requiring all offerings through the platform “contributes to achieving the principle of equal opportunities between individuals and the private sector, and enables everyone to view and participate in government auctions with ease and clarity, which enhances fair competition and ensures optimal benefit from public assets.”

“Ettimad Auction” is highlighted as a key service on the platform. It aims to streamline procedures for selling government movables while supporting Saudi Vision 2030’s objectives for developing public financial management systems and increasing transparency in government dealings.

Government agencies can use their accounts on Ettimad to manage auctions. Individuals and businesses interested in participating or viewing ongoing auctions can do so at https://etimad.sa
